Mission Statement

It is the goal of West Oaks Community Church to introduce people to Jesus Christ and to help them become more like Him through worship, fellowship, discipleship, outreach and service.

Emphasis

Along with emphasizing the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives and striving to become more like Him every day, West Oaks is committed to strengthening the bonds of friendship, family, and community both in our fellowship and in the world that we live.  We want to live out and represent the type of loving, Christian family that God calls us to.  So come join us and be a part of the family!  All are welcome!

More About Us

2005 marked the 50th Anniversary of our Assemblies of God church body. It has undergone name changes, been moved, remodeled, expanded, and been shepherded by many senior pastors. It has grafted other bodies of believers into it through the years and has dug its roots deep and spread its branches wide. The current title of our body is certainly aptly named – West Oaks Community Church.

West Oaks is God’s church… a church of real people living real lives. Through heartache and happiness, Home-goings and new births, this church is a place of friends, a place of support, a place of holiness. It is a hospital for the hurting, a congregation for the lonely, a respite for the weary, and a celebration for the joyful.

In addition to the pastors who have served the church, the congregation has been blest by many faithful and talented families throughout the years. Many have gone on to fulfill calls of ministry or services around the world. North Central University has also contributed a great deal to the congregation through dedicated young people who have served as student pastors, youth leaders and teachers from West Oaks’ beginnings to the present time.

As we praise God for the blessings of the past, we realize that we stand on the threshold of a great challenge to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord in the remaining days before His return. Our prayer is that the Lord of the Harvest will rise up laborers willing to go the distance. We can’t afford to look back! We forge ahead!
